Max Verstappen has urged Red Bull to improve their performance after he finished in fifth place at the Hungarian Grand Prix, following a late collision with Lewis Hamilton. Verstappen, who was aiming for his third consecutive win at the event, still holds a significant 76-point lead in the standings over McLaren's Lando Norris.

The Dutch triple champion voiced his dissatisfaction with Red Bull's strategy on Sky Sports, stating, "Of course I'm not happy. On a day when we're already lacking pace compared to McLaren, you try and hope we do the right things with the strategy which today was not the case."

Verstappen's radio communications with his race engineer were heated, marked by multiple complaints and swearing. He insisted that no apologies were necessary but stressed the need for better performance. He acknowledged Red Bull's diminished pace advantage this season and admitted that with a bit more effort, a third-place finish could have been possible despite McLaren's superiority.
