Borussia Dortmund Strengthens Squad with Serhou Guirassy

Borussia Dortmund has signed Guinea striker Serhou Guirassy from VfB Stuttgart on a four-year contract. The 28-year-old was the second-highest scorer in the Bundesliga last season. Guirassy expressed his excitement and desire to win titles with Dortmund. He joins defender Waldemar Anton as recent additions to the squad.

Borussia Dortmund has officially signed Guinea striker Serhou Guirassy from VfB Stuttgart, securing the 28-year-old star on a four-year deal. Guirassy, who scored 28 goals in as many appearances last season, was the second-highest scorer in the Bundesliga, trailing only Bayern Munich's Harry Kane.

This marks Dortmund's second acquisition from Stuttgart this month, following the addition of defender Waldemar Anton. Expressing his enthusiasm, Guirassy said, 'Every child interested in football in the world knows this club, knows the black and yellow jerseys, knows the yellow wall. I'm very excited about all this. I came here to win titles... that's what drives me.'

Dortmund managing director Lars Ricken highlighted Guirassy's multifaceted abilities, praising him as a team player. 'As a striker, he will of course be judged by his goals. The role he plays in running at opponents clearly shows that he defines himself as a real team player,' Ricken said. Dortmund, who reached the Champions League final last season, will kick off their Bundesliga campaign against Eintracht Frankfurt on Aug. 24.
