For the second year running, the Basketball Africa League (BAL) will participate in the prestigious Quai 54, the world's largest streetball tournament. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 22, and Sunday, June 23, at Stade Pierre de Coubertin in Paris, France. The BAL's involvement underscores its ongoing strategy to engage fans across the African Diaspora and global audiences.

Representing the BAL at Quai 54 will be a team comprised of standout players from the 2024 season. This includes Angolan basketball legend Carlos Morais from Petro de Luanda, 2024 All-BAL First Team and All-Defensive Team member Samkelo Cele of South Africa's Cape Town Tigers, and Kelvin Amayo, who led the BAL in 3-point shooting for Nigeria's Rivers Hoopers. Coaching the team will be Karim Nesba from Morocco, former head coach of Uganda's City Oilers during the 2024 BAL season, along with Victor Samnick, a former French National League champion and Georgetown University player.

Quai 54 is renowned for its electric atmosphere and top-tier competition, attracting elite streetball talent from around the globe. Last year, the BAL team made a strong showing, reaching the semifinals with players such as Ehab Amin from Egypt's Al Ahly, Chris Crawford from Senegal's AS Douanes (2013 BAL champion), and Ater Majok from Petro de Luanda, showcasing the league's talent on an international stage.
