In a significant development, Regaal Resources announced on Tuesday that it has achieved a substantial expansion of its maize processing capabilities. The Kolkata-headquartered agro-processing company invested Rs 389 crore to double the milling capacity at its Kishanganj facility in Bihar.

The expansion includes a new liquid glucose unit and a maltodextrin powder plant, boosting its production capabilities significantly. This strategic investment is set to create around 475 jobs, bringing the company's total workforce to approximately 950.

Regaal's latest developments position it as the leading maize wet milling facility in Eastern India, further supported by Bihar's Industrial Investment Promotion Policy. Plans for future expansion into starch derivatives are already in motion.
