Rajiv Gandhi University has partnered with the National Remote Sensing Centre to study lightning and related atmospheric processes in Arunachal Pradesh. This collaboration aims to improve the understanding of lightning threats, supported by newly installed advanced equipment and sensors, to ensure safer living conditions across the state.

Rajiv Gandhi University has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Remote Sensing Centre, part of ISRO, to advance the study of lightning phenomena in Arunachal Pradesh.

The initiative focuses on enhancing scientific comprehension of lightning and associated atmospheric processes, which pose regular threats to the region's life and infrastructure.

Advanced equipment and sensors have been installed at the university, signaling a significant leap in data collection, and reinforcing RGU's commitment to exploring scientific and technological frontiers.
