In a dramatic encounter, a farmer in Rajasthan's Kotputli-Behror district has killed a leopard that attacked him. The incident took place in Kharkadi village, where Shravan Gurjar faced the feline while collecting fodder in his field.
Gurjar, aged 48, was seriously injured after the leopard cub emerged from surrounding bushes, clawing and biting him in a struggle for survival. In a defensive act, Gurjar used an axe to deliver a fatal blow to the leopard's head, officials reported.
The injured farmer is currently receiving treatment in a government hospital in Alwar. Forest department forester Manoj Naga confirmed that the carcass has been secured, and an official inquiry is underway to assess and address the situation according to legal protocols.
