Tiger's Journey: From Forests to Human Habitations

A tiger roaming for 20 days in Telangana has moved from Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri to Jangaon district, causing concern among locals. Despite avoiding humans, it killed eight animals in Yadadri. District officials have issued safety precautions warning villagers to stay indoors at night and protect domestic animals.

A roaming tiger from Telangana's forests has made its latest move from Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district to Jangaon, sparking safety alerts. Jangaon District Forest Officer Kondal Reddy confirmed the tiger's tracks in Lingala Ghanpur and urged locals to take precautions.

The big cat, which started its journey about 20 days ago, is believed to have originated in Mancherial's Kawal Tiger Reserve. It trekked approximately 250 kilometers to Yadadri district, causing distress among residents since its presence marked a significant first in 50 years near Hyderabad.

While avoiding direct human contact, the tiger has preyed upon eight domestic animals, primarily cows. Authorities in both Yadadri and Jangaon have stepped up measures, advising villagers to stay indoors at night and safeguard their livestock.
