This was a decrease from Thursday's AQI of 195 but remains a concern for vulnerable groups including children, senior citizens, and those with pre-existing conditions.

Specific areas recorded differing AQI figures: Rabindra Bharati University at 154, Ballygunje at 184, and Bidhannagar at 186, among others. The WBPCB suggests that while the air showed signs of improvement, it still poses health risks.
