The Kashmere Gate Police Station in Delhi has noted serious traffic issues, leading to 139 FIRs presently registered for public way obstructions in 2025, as revealed to a Delhi court on Wednesday.
These encroachments around Tis Hazari district, including unauthorized truck loading and street vendors, have significantly affected pedestrian and vehicular flow, raising serious concerns for local residents and court staff.
Efforts are underway to address this ongoing issue, with proposed infrastructural enhancements such as the construction of a multilevel parking facility near Mori Gate and a new foot-over bridge to facilitate smoother traffic and pedestrian movement.
