Strategic Urban Renewal: NBCC and MAHAPREIT Collaborate on Maharashtra Projects
NBCC has partnered with Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy for housing and infrastructure projects worth Rs 25,000 crore in Maharashtra. This MoU includes consultancy, EPC, and redevelopment projects such as data centres and slum rehabilitation in Maharashtra, aiming for completion in three to five years.

State-owned NBCC has entered a significant partnership with Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Ltd (MAHAPREIT) to undertake a series of ambitious housing and urban development projects across Maharashtra, collectively valued at Rs 25,000 crore. The projects aim to revolutionize infrastructure, including key areas like Thane Municipal Corporation and Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed to formalize this collaboration focusing on consultancy, EPC, and redevelopment projects. NBCC, known for its successful redevelopment initiatives in Delhi, plans to bring its expertise to Maharashtra for the first time, engaging in projects such as cluster development, renewable energy, and residential projects under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
This strategic alliance was marked by the presence of K P Mahadevaswamy, CMD of NBCC, and Bipin Shrimali, MD of MAHAPREIT. With executive leaders Pradeep Sharma and Murthy PRK signing the agreement, the two entities plan to roll out these infrastructure ventures in a phased approach over the next three to five years.
