In a dramatic incident, a gas agency truck caught fire on Monday afternoon in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly district, leading to a cascade of explosions involving over 300 LPG cylinders. The unsettling events prompted panic among villagers who swiftly vacated the vicinity.
The vehicle, owned by Mahalaxmi Gas Agency, was engulfed in flames for reasons yet to be identified near Rajau Parsapur village in the Bithri Chainpur area. As the fiery chaos unfolded, the loud explosions sent shockwaves through nearby communities.
Emergency response teams, including police and fire brigade personnel, were quick to respond, managing to extinguish the flames after a grueling two-and-a-half-hour battle. The frightening sound of the blasts resonated up to three kilometers away, with cylinder debris scattered across fields half a kilometer from the initial site.
