A tragic fire incident occurred in Mumbai's Vidyavihar on Monday morning, resulting in the death of a security guard and injuring three others, as confirmed by an official.

The blaze erupted at 4.35 am in the Takshshila Co-operative Housing Society, damaging electrical installations and household items in five flats on the first and second floors. Fortunately, fire crews managed to rescue 15 to 20 people safely from the affected building.

Security guard Uday Gangan, aged 45, succumbed to his injuries at Rajawadi Hospital. Another guard, Sabhajit Yadav, suffered significant burn injuries but is undergoing treatment, while two others sustained minor injuries. The fire was declared a level-two emergency and controlled by 7.33 am; the cause is currently undetermined.
