The Uttar Pradesh government has embarked on an ambitious project to enhance the pilgrim and tourist experience in Ayodhya through the installation of digital kiosks at significant locations.
Officials report these kiosks will provide essential, real-time information about opening hours and locations of key religious sites, including the Ram Mandir and Hanumangarhi temple. They will be strategically placed at four major entry points like railway stations and airports to ensure maximum reach.
The Ayodhya Pilgrimage Development Authority oversees this project, which could expand if initial phases yield success. CEO Santosh Sharma anticipates the initiative will make pilgrimages smoother and bolster local tourism, while also ensuring that visitors have access to relevant historical, cultural, and tourism information via advanced touch screen and voice command interfaces.
