The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has launched a new initiative, dubbed the 'Summer Action Plan,' designed to enhance the city's water supply and address public grievances concerning water distribution.
Under the guidance of Vice Chairman Kuljeet Singh Chahal, this comprehensive plan seeks to ensure uninterrupted water delivery to citizens by introducing new distribution schemes, expanding the fleet of water tankers, and launching a modernization drive for existing pipeline infrastructure.
According to an official NDMC statement, collaboration with the Delhi Government and Delhi Jal Board has been established to bolster the overall water supply system. The strategy targets key water-stressed areas and aims to provide enhanced access to piped water for over 34 slum clusters as part of a broader improvement project.
