A 55-year-old woman tragically lost her life in a tiger attack in the Nainidanda area of Uttarakhand's Pauri district, as confirmed by an official on Sunday.

The incident took place Saturday afternoon in Jamun village within the Mandal range. Guddi Devi Bhadula was working in her field near the forest when the tiger attacked her, dragging her 300 meters into the woods, according to Divisional Forest Officer Rahul Mishra.

The woman's pet dog attempted to save her by chasing and barking at the tiger, which eventually left Bhadula fatally injured. Her husband, Raj Bhadula, discovered her body after searching for her when she didn't return home. The Forest Department provided the family with Rs 2 lakh as immediate relief, while deploying workers and trap cameras to investigate further.
