Eagles and Nevada Sportsbooks: Big Winners of Super Bowl
The Philadelphia Eagles' Super Bowl victory over the Kansas City Chiefs resulted in record profits for Nevada sportsbooks. Bettors wagered $151.6 million, leading to a $22 million win for the house, despite a decrease in overall bets. Jalen Hurts was named Super Bowl MVP.

The Philadelphia Eagles secured more than just a football victory in their dominant Super Bowl win against the Kansas City Chiefs. Their success also translated into record earnings for Nevada sportsbooks, long considered the heart of U.S. gambling activity.
According to unaudited figures released by the Nevada Gaming Control Board, sportsbooks in the state collected a remarkable $151.6 million in bets on this year's Super Bowl. Ultimately, the casinos enjoyed a $22 million profit thanks to a lucrative hold percentage of 14.6%, marking a financial high point.
Interestingly, despite these impressive profits, the total amount wagered was 20% lower than last year's record $190 million. Nevertheless, the Eagles' win ensured a profitable outcome for many, especially as money flowed earlier in the season towards other teams, including the Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. Meanwhile, Eagles' quarterback Jalen Hurts was recognized as the Most Valuable Player of the championship game.
