Night temperatures in Kashmir have risen significantly due to overnight snowfall, yet still linger below freezing, officials reported on Monday.

In Srinagar, the minimum temperature increased to -0.5°C from the previous night's -2.5°C, as per data from the Meteorological Department.

Gulmarg maintained a steady -4.5°C, while Pahalgam saw its minimum temperature climb to -1.4°C from -3.2°C, indicating a rise in temperatures across various regions. This weather shift occurs as Kashmir endures 'Chillai-Kalan,' the year's harshest winter spell.
