Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, has approved a significant water supply scheme worth Rs 357 crore under the AMRUT Mission for the Kalyan-Dombivali area in Thane district, officials confirmed on Thursday.
The ambitious project plans to enhance water supply infrastructure to serve the civic limits of Kalyan-Dombivali and 27 nearby villages, representing a major advancement in the region's water supply capabilities.
Thanking Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Shinde emphasized that this initiative, which has passed the State Level Technical and High Power Steering Committees, will greatly improve the quality of life in the region.
