Chilly Forecast for Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj

The India Meteorological Department predicts cooler temperatures for Prayagraj ahead of and during the Kumbh Mela, starting from January 14. Special weather updates will be provided, with a dedicated webpage to ensure accurate information. Initially normal, temperatures will drop below normal after January 9.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted a drop in temperatures in Prayagraj just before the Kumbh Mela commences on January 14.

IMD Director General Mrutyunjay Mohapatra announced during a recent press conference that specialized weather updates will be available for the duration of the Kumbh Mela, which concludes on February 26.

Anticipating a shift from normal to cooler temperatures after January 9, IMD is also collaborating with the state government for precise weather forecasting and developing a dedicated webpage for updates.
