Manipur's path to development took a significant leap as Public Works Minister Govindas Konthoujam held discussions in Delhi with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Featured at the meeting were two transformative projects backed by international lenders.
In a strategic move to alleviate traffic woes in Imphal, the ADB-supported Imphal Ring Road project aims to construct a 51.23-kilometer road encircling the state capital. With traffic congestion being a pressing concern, this project is poised to provide substantial relief to the city's commuters.
Simultaneously, the World Bank-funded Manipur Infotech Enabled Development Project sets its sights on boosting digital accessibility and entrepreneurship. By expanding broadband access and bolstering digital government infrastructures, Manipur is set to embrace a more connected and technologically-driven future.
