A leopard caused alarm when it wandered into a residential area in Alwar, Rajasthan, after being spotted near RR College for almost a month, officials reported Tuesday.
The elusive big cat, which had not attacked anyone, had been frequenting the vicinity of the college, confirmed forest ranger Shankar Singh Shekhawat.
Pugmarks of the animal were found near the college's staff room on December 29, and it was later tranquilized in the Company Bagh area, about 1.5 km from the college, ensuring a safe capture.
