A tragic incident unfolded in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district when a seven-year-old girl, Zahara Choudhary, lost her life after being hit by a boulder during the construction of a link road. The event has raised significant concern among locals, who accuse the construction company of negligence.
Zahara was returning home from school in Salwah village when the fatal accident occurred. According to Block Medical Officer Dr. Ashfaq Choudhary, she sustained severe injuries to her lumbar and pelvic regions, resulting in internal bleeding that claimed her life. The child's body was handed over to the police post-autopsy.
The villagers have demanded immediate action against the construction company, reflecting local outrage and grief. Police have registered the incident and initiated a thorough investigation. In a separate case in the same district, the body of a 38-year-old man was discovered, prompting further inquiry by the authorities.
