In a concerted effort to support the homeless this winter, the Delhi government has announced a comprehensive action plan that will see up to 250 pagoda tents established across the city.
The initiative aims to provide shelter for 2,000 additional people, complementing the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board's existing 197 facilities.
Noteworthy is the collaboration with Social Mobilisation Agencies and NGOs, which will form 16 rescue teams to operate nightly, actively seeking and assisting homeless individuals in need of refuge.
