Delhi Chokes: Air Quality Hits Fourteenth Day of 'Very Poor' Levels
Delhi's air quality remains 'very poor' with an AQI of 334, primarily due to vehicular emissions. The capital ranks fourth in air pollution across India, trailing Hajipur and Chandigarh. PM10 pollutants are the primary concern. Weather conditions delay winter, with temperatures unseasonably high.

For the 14th consecutive day, Delhi's air quality hung in the 'very poor' category, registering an AQI reading of 334. Vehicular emissions remain the largest contributor, responsible for 15.4% of the pollution, as reported on Tuesday.
The Air Quality Index, measured daily, has stubbornly refused to drop below 300 since late October. Predictions from the Centre's Decision Support System suggest that vehicle emissions will stay as a significant pollutant threat in the coming days.
Temperatures remain unexpectedly high, adding to the woes. The delayed onset of the winter season means the typical weather shift hasn't occurred, keeping temperatures in the 30-degree Celsius range, well above historical norms.
