Escalating Tensions: Gaza Under Siege

A recent series of Israeli military strikes across the Gaza Strip resulted in at least 20 fatalities on Wednesday, according to medical sources.

The deadliest of the attacks struck the Salateen area in Beit Lahiya, north of Gaza, where eight people died. This incident follows another airstrike in the same region, which the Gaza health ministry reported left at least 93 people killed or missing. The United States described that earlier attack as "horrifying."

While Israel did not immediately comment on these military operations, Gaza's emergency services announced a cessation of operations, citing the extensive three-week-long Israeli offensive. Israel maintains that its military campaign aims to dismantle the Palestinian militant group Hamas, which has reportedly regrouped in this contested area.
