In a recent address, Delhi's Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena identified road dust as the primary source of air pollution in the capital. He emphasized the need for the Delhi government to address internal issues rather than shifting the blame elsewhere.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) responded, indicating the irony as BJP-governed Haryana and Uttar Pradesh showcase some of the worst air quality indices (AQI) in the country. They claimed Delhi is experiencing its cleanest air levels in a decade due to proactive government measures.
Saxena also noted his success in managing municipal waste and Yamuna pollution. He urged Delhi's leadership to focus on basic infrastructure improvements to combat the dust crisis and improve air quality comprehensively.
