With wind speeds anticipated to hit 120 kmph, Kolkata airport will shut down flight operations from Thursday evening to Friday morning. Additionally, significant train cancellations have been announced to ensure public safety.
Disaster response teams are deployed across coastal regions, distributing essential supplies. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee confirmed the closure of schools in nine districts and emphasized that safety measures are thoroughly implemented.
