Rescue operations, involving the fire and emergency department, National Disaster Response Force, and State Disaster Response Force, have been ongoing since heavy rains triggered the collapse on Tuesday.

Bhuvan Reddy, son of the person under whose name the building was being constructed, and contractor Muniyappa have been detained, as authorities revealed the unauthorized construction of seven floors instead of the sanctioned four.
