Manipur's Resurgence: Housing, Highways, and Hope

The government of Manipur, led by Chief Minister N Biren Singh, is set to build 7,000 houses for internally displaced persons affected by violence in the state. This initiative, sanctioned by the central government, aims to relocate individuals currently sheltered in educational institutions.
In a press briefing, Singh expressed gratitude to national leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, for their intervention. Additionally, the Ministry of Road and Transport has allocated significant funds for the development of highways and concrete roads in the region.
Further enhancing the state's infrastructure, Singh revealed plans for a new Rs 220-crore world-class football stadium. Meanwhile, financial aid is planned for displaced individuals before upcoming festivals, amid ongoing efforts to restore peace following violence in Jiribam district.
