This development, in collaboration with the India Meteorological Department, is expected to enhance disaster preparedness and bolster sustainable agricultural practices.
Scheduled for a Thursday launch, the service represents a significant stride in grassroots governance, aligning with the government's 100 Days Agenda. With the availability of real-time hourly forecasts, farmers and villagers will find themselves better equipped to face environmental challenges and improve climate resilience.
This innovative weather service will utilize digital platforms, such as e-GramSwaraj, Meri Panchayat app, and Gram Manchitra, to disseminate critical information. Additionally, SMS alerts will provide panchayat representatives with real-time warnings about extreme weather events, ensuring swift action to safeguard lives and property.
