Uttarakhand's Chief Secretary, Radha Raturi, has mandated district magistrates to pinpoint suitable locations within a week for the disposal of debris due to landslides and construction waste.
This directive emerged during a crucial meeting with officials from the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), National Highways Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), and the Public Works Department (PWD).
The meeting underscored the necessity of compliance with disposal regulations, cautioning against any deviations. A total of 81.99 hectares is required for debris management over the next five years, aligning with road development needs.
