Defence Minister Rajnath Singh virtually inaugurated 75 transformative infrastructure projects of the Border Roads Organisation on Saturday. These projects are strategically located in Arunachal Pradesh, including roads, bridges, and a helipad, constructed under the Brahmank, Vartak, and Udayak projects.
Project Vartak saw the completion of three new roads covering 25.29 km, with significant financial investment totaling over Rs 139 crore. These roads are expected to drastically improve accessibility and transportation within the region, with additional bridges further enhancing connectivity.
Governor KT Parnaik and Chief Minister Pema Khandu emphasized the strategic and socio-economic benefits of these projects for Arunachal Pradesh, including improved national security, communication, tourism, and support for the Vibrant Border Village programme and 'Seva Aapke Dwar' initiative.
