Blaze in Delhi's Shastri Park: 10 Rescued

A raging fire broke out in a residential building located in northeast Delhi's Shastri Park area early Tuesday morning, resulting in the rescue of at least 10 people, according to officials.
The emergency call was received at 9.30 am regarding the fire in Shastri Park's lane number three, prompting the dispatch of five fire tenders, as reported by a Delhi Fire Services (DFS) official.
Fire Officer Yashwant Singh stated that upon arrival, they observed the parking lot on the ground floor had caught fire, trapping several residents on the upper floors. All trapped individuals were successfully rescued with ladders and cranes, and fortunately, no injuries were reported. The fire, suspected to have been caused by a short-circuit in the electricity metre, did result in damage to some two-wheelers.
