Delhi's New Drive to Combat C&D Waste Pollution
Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi announced a special initiative where engineers and sanitary staff will document the daily removal of construction and demolition waste to tackle winter pollution. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has introduced dedicated waste disposal sites, and inspections will be routinely conducted to ensure compliance.

Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi revealed a significant initiative aimed at curbing pollution in the city by targeting construction and demolition (C&D) waste.
During a press briefing, Oberoi explained that the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has launched a special drive to ensure this waste is managed with efficiency.
Daily reports will be submitted by junior engineers and sanitary staff across 250 wards, and inspections will be led by deputy and assistant commissioners throughout Delhi's 12 zones.
