Himachal Pradesh's Public Works Minister, Vikramaditya Singh, announced the approval of road projects totaling Rs 293.36 crore, funded by the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund for 2024-25.
The sanctioned infrastructure includes five major road and bridge projects across the state, aimed at enhancing connectivity in areas such as Shimla, Hamirpur, Kangra, and Mandi districts. This move follows persistent advocacy by the PWD department and strategic engagements with the central government.
Projects include the significant upgradation of various roads and a high-level bridge, set to improve regional infrastructure, foster economic growth, and enhance residents' quality of life. The minister emphasized the collective effort behind these achievements, noting contributions from various state officials and MPs, including BJP MP Kangana Ranaut from Mandi.
