Himachal Pradesh Secures Road Projects Worth Rs 293 Crore

Himachal Pradesh Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh announced the approval of Rs 293.36 crore for road projects under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund for 2024-25. This initiative is part of the state government's ongoing efforts to enhance connectivity and infrastructure.
The sanctioned projects comprise five road and bridge works that aim to improve accessibility in various districts, including Shimla, Hamirpur, Kangra, and Mandi. The PWD department has actively lobbied for these projects, securing crucial funding from the central government.
The approved ventures entail significant financial investment, such as Rs 54.87 crore for upgrading a 52 km stretch in Shimla, Rs 41.10 crore for a 20 km road in Hamirpur, Rs 79.25 crore for a 37 km road also in Hamirpur, an 828-metre bridge in Kangra for Rs 86.34 crore, and a road upgrade in Mandi costed at Rs 31.80 crore. These projects are set to enhance infrastructure, stimulate economic growth, and improve living standards in the state.
