According to IMD data, regions like Rajasthan, Gujarat, west Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh witnessed a significant surplus in rainfall.
This abundant rain is crucial for India's agriculture, sustaining 52 per cent of the net cultivated area and replenishing reservoirs that supply drinking water and support power generation nationwide.
