Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has called on the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) and state government officials to urgently address road infrastructure challenges in North Sikkim, particularly in light of recent heavy rainfall.
During a high-level review meeting at his official residence on Monday evening, Tamang emphasized the necessity for immediate and sustainable solutions to improve road conditions in vulnerable areas prone to landslides. Officials agreed on conducting joint inspections to draft a comprehensive action plan.
The Chief Minister urged for the swift execution of these inspections and the restoration of damaged roads across the state. He expressed gratitude to the BRO for its active involvement and the robust discussions aimed at enhancing Sikkim's infrastructure.
