Delhi Records Wettest September in Three Years with Significant Rainfall
Delhi experienced its wettest September in three years, recording 14 rainy days and 192.5 mm of rainfall. This marks a notable increase from previous years and exceeds the normal average by 56%. Throughout the monsoon season, the city received 1029.9 mm of rainfall, far surpassing the seasonal average.

Delhi has experienced its wettest September in three years, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), with an impressive record of 14 rainy days.
In comparison, September 2023 and 2022 saw only 10 and 11 rainy days, respectively. This year, Delhi recorded 192.5 mm of rainfall, significantly above the average of 123.5 mm, marking a 56 per cent increase.
During the entire monsoon season, the city accumulated 1029.9 mm of rainfall, exceeding the seasonal average of 640.4 mm by 61 per cent. The IMD also reported that September's average maximum and minimum temperatures were 33.8 and 24.7 degrees Celsius, respectively.
