The United Arab Emirates has witnessed a significant 25% growth in demand for workers skilled in sustainable construction practices since May last year, driven primarily by the lure of higher pay.
According to a report released by UAE-based AI platform Huntr, the surge in demand from May 2023 to April 2024 has been particularly strong for roles that require expertise in Building Information Modelling (BIM), digital twin technologies, energy efficiency, safety compliance, and sustainable materials management.
These skills are essential as the UAE continues to prioritize sustainability in its construction sector, focusing on energy efficiency and waste reduction in its projects. 'Indian workers with expertise in energy-efficient technologies and sustainable practices are perfectly positioned to fill this demand, with benefits including higher wages, longer contracts, and better working conditions,' said Huntr Founder and CEO Samuel Joy.
