Delhi Unveils Pioneering Winter Action Plan to Combat Air Pollution
Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai launched the Winter Action Plan on Wednesday with a host of measures aimed at combating air pollution. The plan includes drone monitoring, anti-dust campaigns, task forces, road-sweeping machines, and mobile anti-smog guns under the theme 'Mil Kar Chale, Pradushan Se Lade'.

In a significant move to combat air pollution, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Wednesday unveiled the city's comprehensive Winter Action Plan. The plan features a series of robust measures, including drone monitoring and intensified anti-dust campaigns.
Rai emphasized the importance of collective action, stating that the government, along with the public, must work together to address the issue, particularly during the winter months when pollution levels tend to surge.
Key initiatives in the plan include the use of drones to monitor pollution hotspots, a special six-member task force, and the deployment of 200 mobile anti-smog guns. Other measures consist of strict penalties for dust violators, organized awareness campaigns, and the implementation of the 'Red Light On, Gadi Off' campaign to reduce vehicular emissions.
