The broadcaster added that more individuals were believed to be missing. The Greek coastguard confirmed that a search and rescue operation, involving four coastguard vessels and a helicopter, was ongoing off the rocky shores of Agios Isidoros, located in the island's northwestern part.
The situation remains dire as the search continues for additional victims.
