A young life was tragically cut short in Chandrapur district, Maharashtra, as a 7-year-old boy fell victim to a leopard attack, officials confirmed on Saturday.
The victim, identified as Bhavesh Thakur from Sinala village, was attacked while answering nature's call on Friday. Despite an overnight search, his body was only found the following morning in the WCL area.
Authorities have extended an initial compensation of Rs 1 lakh to the bereaved family. Meanwhile, efforts to locate and capture the leopard continue.
