Ports in Louisiana, including the vital New Orleans port and the deepwater Louisiana Offshore Oil Port (LOOP), have resumed operations following the aftermath of storm Francine, according to the U.S. Coast Guard. Texas ports, such as Texas City and Lake Charles, which reopened earlier this week, are now servicing tankers as per vessel monitoring data by LSEG.

Tracking the trajectory of the post-tropical storm, Francine has been heading northwest towards the Mississippi River since Thursday night. The storm unleashed heavy rainfall on parts of the Mississippi Delta, Alabama, western Georgia, and the Florida panhandle, as reported by the U.S. National Hurricane Center.

Flooding threats are anticipated to continue impacting the Tennessee Valley region through Saturday, posing significant concerns for local communities.
