President Vladimir Putin has delivered a stark warning to Western powers regarding the repercussions of allowing Ukraine to target Russian territory using long-range missiles provided by the West, stated Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Friday.
In a forceful message delivered on Thursday, Putin asserted that any move permitting Ukraine to launch Western-made long-range missile strikes against Russia would escalate the conflict to a direct confrontation with the West, fundamentally changing the war's nature and dimensions.
According to Peskov, there is no ambiguity that Putin's warning was clearly communicated and understood by its intended recipients.
