Residents of Khyber Pass in north Delhi are struggling with anxiety and uncertainty as authorities demand they vacate their homes by the end of the month.

Kundan Arya, a driver and local resident, expressed his deep concern about providing for his family of seven and the potential disruption to his children's education. Arya emphasized that government compensation would have helped them manage the situation better.

Another resident, Ajai Kumar, highlighted that his daughters will likely miss an academic year if they are forced to move, as no school will admit them mid-session. The added expenses of rent and education are a significant worry.

Amit Negi, sole breadwinner for his family, fears losing his job due to the relocation. With the extra financial pressures on his brother's education and his parents' treatment, managing rent will be an added strain.

Last month, the Land and Development Office had already demolished several shops and houses in the area, intensifying the residents' worries.
