Rain lashed parts of Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) early Thursday, bringing relief to the residents.

Affected areas included India Gate, Janpath Road, R K Puram, Kalindikunj, Gazipur, Indirapuram, Laxmi Nagar, Dwarka, Connaught Place, Noida, Safdarjung, Uttam Nagar, East of Kailash, and Rohini, which experienced light showers.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) recorded a minimum temperature of 23.1 degrees Celsius, 2.5 notches below normal, and issued an 'orange' alert denoting heavy rainfall. This alert could result in potential disruptions to rail, road, and air transport. At 8.30 am, the humidity was at 100 percent. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the Air Quality Index (AQI) remained satisfactory at 83.
