Russian officials reported on Tuesday that overnight drone attacks led to the downing of at least 15 drones around Moscow. The attacks set residential buildings on fire, killed a nine-year-old child, and resulted in the suspension of more than 30 flights in the Russian capital.

Additionally, over 60 drones were downed in Russia's southwestern Bryansk region and the Lipetsk region to the south, bordering Ukraine. While no casualties were reported there, Ukraine's expanding drone industry and increasing attacks on Russian energy, military, and transport infrastructure were highlighted.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin confirmed on Telegram that emergency crews had been dispatched to multiple sites, including the Zhukovo and Domodedovo districts. The August drone attacks were part of a broader strategy as Russia struggles to counter Kyiv forces in ongoing conflicts.
