Deadly floods from torrential rains have claimed the lives of at least 11 people in South Morocco, according to authorities. The preliminary death toll on Sunday highlighted that the provinces of Tata, Tiznit, and Errachidia were the worst affected.

Authorities reported that at least nine individuals are still missing after the floods swamped numerous villages. The deluge has also led to the destruction of 40 homes, alongside damage to 93 roads and crucial infrastructure, including electricity, water supply, and phone networks.
