Stray Nine-Foot Crocodile Rescued in Mumbai Neighborhood
A nine-foot-long crocodile was found in a residential area in Mumbai. The forest department's control room received a distress call from Nirmal Lifestyle housing society in Mulund. The Resqink Association for Wildlife Welfare (RAWW) led the rescue operation, and after a medical checkup, the crocodile was returned to its natural habitat.

A nine-foot-long crocodile entered a residential area in Mumbai and was rescued on Sunday morning, according to a representative from a wildlife welfare group.
The wildlife distress call came from Nirmal Lifestyle housing society in Mulund. Responding swiftly, the forest department coordinated with the Resqink Association for Wildlife Welfare (RAWW).
RAWW's team successfully rescued the female Indian Marsh crocodile around 6.30 am. Following a medical examination, the reptile was released back into its natural habitat, confirmed Pawar Sharma, the founder of RAWW and honorary wildlife warden with the forest department.
